PlayMyStory is a creative digital service based in Nairobi, Kenya. We build personalised, playable video games for children based on ideas and stories submitted by parents and guardians. Our website is operated by PlayMyStory (“we”, “us”, or “our”).

2. What Personal Data We Collect
When you place an order through our website, we collect the following information:
a) Identity and Contact Information
- Child’s name
- Child’s age — collected solely to tailor the game’s complexity, mechanics, and content to the child’s developmental stage. This is optional.
- Parent or guardian’s name
- Email address
- Phone number or WhatsApp number
b) Game Order Information
- Game title and description
- Game type (e.g. Birthday, Adventure)
- Selected add-ons (Private Access, Birthday Edition)
- Voice notes or files uploaded to support the game idea (optional)
c) Payment Information
Payments are processed securely through Paystack, a third-party payment provider. We do not store your card details or bank account information on our servers. Paystack may collect and process your payment data in accordance with their own privacy policy, available at https://paystack.com/privacy.
We retain records of payment references and transaction status for order management and accounting purposes.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use the personal data we collect for the following purposes:
- To process and fulfil your game order
- To communicate with you about your order status, preview, and delivery
- To send payment receipts and reminders
- To assign and manage your position in our production queue
- To provide you with access to your completed game
- To respond to your enquiries and support requests

We do not use your personal data for automated decision-making or profiling.

- Paystack: Our payment processor, solely for the purpose of completing your transaction.
- Email service providers: Used to send transactional emails such as order confirmations and game delivery notices.

All third-party providers we use are required to handle your data securely and only for the specific purpose for which it was shared.
6. How Long We Keep Your Data
We retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy:
- Order and customer records are retained for a minimum of 5 years for accounting and legal compliance purposes.
- Game files and associated content are retained for as long as your game remains hosted and accessible.
- Uploaded voice notes and supporting files are deleted once the game has been delivered, unless you request otherwise.
